Why Are You Running For Office?

I have accumulated experience under different sheriffs and supervisors that gives me a unique perspective on what it takes to make an aggressive attack on the escalating problem of crime and drug activity in Taney County. When I ran 4 years ago, I had a long list of things I wanted to do, but a short list of 8 crucial improvements necessary for the Sheriff’s Office. Nothing had changed for 16 years. The current administration addressed three of those improvements, but we need to do more!

Why Are You Running For Office?

I am running for sheriff to take a proactive stance to eradicate illegal drugs from our communities and provide professional investigations of all crimes so criminals are held accountable for their actions in a court of law. During my law enforcement career I have witnessed firsthand the increasing devastation our communities face from overdoses, violent crimes, burglaries, theft and other crimes as a direct result of the illegal drug culture. I have a proven track record of hundreds of successful drug investigations, eradicating illegal drugs and weapons off of our streets, and getting crucial results in our communities for the past 15 years during my time assigned in an investigative capacity. I want to offer Taney County a candidate for sheriff based not upon spoken words alone but built upon hard work, proven results, and dedication to duty over my entire career while serving you as a trusted public servant not as a politician.

Why Are You Running For Office?

I believe that I have the leadership ability to move the Sheriff’s Department in the right direction. I have plans for numerous changes to make Taney County a safer place to live including continued outreach and education regarding the opioid epidemic, implementing mental health initiatives, establishing a Reserve unit to help with manpower shortages, establishing a presence in the local schools, establishing a proactive drug unit, and implementing changes to reduce response times.
